Albert Asante, MD, MPH


Albert Asante, MD, MPH, received his medical degree from the University of Ghana Medical School and completed a Master’s in Public Health at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. He pursued his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, followed by a fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

With a special interest in clinical nutrition as it applies to general and reproductive health as well as personal fitness and bodybuilding, his medical practice includes general infertility and reproductive endocrine conditions, with a particular focus on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL), fertility treatment for advanced reproductive-aged women, and in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Dr. Asante has won multiple awards in these areas and was the recipient of the 2016 Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics Excellence in Teaching Award. He has presented his research at national and international meetings and received the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists 2013 Industry-Funded Research Fellowship in Infertility Award. 

Dr. Asante is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, The Society for Gynecologic Investigation, and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.


Dr. Asante explores his interests in primary amenorrhea, premature menopause, fertility preservation and advanced hysteroscopic surgery.
